Kylie Minogue is to tour Europe with a brand new show in 2008, inspired by her new album X. "I am putting together a show that is going to be a new and exciting experience for both the audience and myself. The eclectic mix of sounds on X is affording me an opportunity to explore and develop a new live show that will be fresh, exhilarating and innovative. After two celebratory tours, X will be a look to the future but will definitely include favourites alongside the new. I can't wait to share it with you," says the singer. KYLIEX2008 tour opens in Paris on May 6 and progresses throughout Europe, reaching the UK on June 26 when she plays at Belfast's Odyssey. The tour then continues with dates in Glasgow, Manchester and London, concluding at London's 02 Arena.

Mika in OUT

In its upcoming July issue, OUT magazine (on stands June 12th), releases an exclusive interview of pop phenomenon Mika, telling about the reasons why even being labeled as gay talent, he doesn't need to clarify his own sexual preferences: "Why pigeonhole myself like that?" he says. "Will it change? Possibly." He added, “I suppose it’s because I never really wanted to box myself in. Anyone can label me, but I’m not willing to label myself. Does it limit the way that I live my life? No. I still do whatever I want. Nothing like that can be a business decision.” Mika insists that executives at Universal, his label, never told him how to answer questions about his sexuality. “I think they know that if they brought that up in a conversation, I would probably not talk to them again. They’ve never controlled me that way. There was a time—when I handed in ‘Billy Brown,’ there was talk from certain people that the song shouldn’t be released in the United States, and I completely lost it. I went right to heads of the company and just said this is ridiculous.”

Mika's lyrics tell all...

Pop singer Mika has hit out at journalists who say he is keeping mum about his sexual orientation. Some commentators have judged his lack of clarity in interviews a smart move for any artist aspiring to a career in America. He told the Daily Mirror, "People say, 'You don't talk about sexuality because you're worried about success in the US.' I say, 'Have you heard the f***ing album?' There's a song about a married man who has a homosexual affair! There's no enigma." Watch Love Today's video, Mika's next single from album Life In Cartoon Motion available now...

Mika, Pop Singer-Songwriter

Mika may not be worldwide famous yet but he'll be very soon. His debut single Relax Take It Easy, remixed by Moran & Rigg has already hit the best dancefloors and his "Queenest" new single, Grace Kelly is already available for download on iTunes. The 23-year old talented pop singer was born in Beirut, raised in Paris and then in London where he says he was "completely tortured"... "I was called the typical fag and all those other homophobic, horrible little comments that kids throw at each other. But it wasn’t just that. Sometimes my hair was way too long. I was tubbier then, so they would say I had child-bearing hips,” he said to The Times. His songs reminds sometimes gay icons Freddie Mercury, George Michael or Scissor Sisters but he admits himself being inspired by artists such as Prince or Elton John. His first album, Life In Cartoon Motion will be released on February 5th. Watch Mika's Grace Kelly video
